The 360° zodiac is divided into 27 equal segments of 13° 20' each - these are the nakshatras, the lunar mansions. The Moon completes its journey through all 27 in ~27.3 days. Each nakshatra has a ruling planet, presiding deity, animal symbol, and a distinct flavour of psychological energy. Combined, they form one of the most precise timing instruments in classical Vedic astrology.
Why nakshatras matter for markets
In Vedic finance astrology, the Moon's current nakshatra describes the prevailing emotional weather. Some nakshatras (Pushya, Hasta, Anuradha, Shravana, Revati) are classically associated with new beginnings, including trading entries, business launches and IPO subscriptions.
