AstroCapitalX ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you use www.astrocapitalx.com ("the Platform"). We comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
1. Information We Collect
- Account data: Name, email address, phone number, password (hashed).
- Birth chart data: Date, time and place of birth (for astrological analysis). This is provided voluntarily.
- Payment data: Handled by Razorpay. We do not store card details.
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, session timestamps, device info, IP address.
- Communication data: Support queries, contact form submissions.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the features you use: birth-chart analysis, free and paid reports, muhurta services, consultations with astrologers, and answers from our AI features.
- To process payments (plans, wallet top-ups, reports, muhurta services and shop orders) and manage your account.
- To send the messages a service needs: one-time login codes, receipts, and booking and order updates, by email, WhatsApp or app notification.
- To send newsletters, only if you have opted in.
- When you verify for a free report or start a paid plan, to add your mobile number to our WhatsApp broadcast list. That broadcast is paused at present and nothing is sent to it; you can ask to be removed at any time.
- To measure and improve the platform and our advertising (see Cookies).
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers below, and only what each needs:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) - hosting, database and content delivery.
- Razorpay - payment processing. We do not store card details.
- Google - delivery of the emails we send (Google Workspace mail relay), website analytics (Google Analytics), web fonts (Google Fonts) and mobile-app push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- Meta - the Meta Pixel, which measures visits and sign-ups from our Facebook and Instagram ads.
- LeadNXT - our WhatsApp Business provider, for messages you send us on WhatsApp and the service messages we send you there.
- Brainguru Technologies - runs the gateway behind our AI features. Your question, and the birth-chart details needed to answer it, pass through it to the AI model that writes the answer (currently Anthropic's Claude).
- Cloudflare - relay servers that connect voice and video consultations (see 4.5).
- Komoot (Photon) - place search when you type a place of birth.
- jsDelivr and the socket.io CDN - serve some page scripts, so like any web request they see your IP address.
- The astrologer you book or consult - the name and birth details you share for that session.
- Legal authorities, when Indian law requires it.
4. Data Retention
Account data: retained while your account is active + 3 years after deletion. Birth chart data: retained until you delete your account. Payment records: 7 years (as required by Indian law).
4.5 Voice & Video Consultations
Voice and video consultations are conducted over an encrypted, peer-to-peer WebRTC connection; Cloudflare provides TURN relay servers that are used only to establish connectivity across restrictive networks. AstroCapitalX does not record or store your voice or video consultations on our servers. If we introduce optional call recording in the future, we will update this policy and obtain your explicit consent before any recording takes place. Your own device may allow you to locally record a session for your personal use; any such recording stays on your device and is never uploaded to us.
5. Your Rights (DPDP Act 2023)
- Right to access your personal data.
- Right to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten").
- Right to withdraw consent for marketing.
- Right to nominate a representative in case of incapacity.

6. Security
We use industry-standard security: bcrypt password hashing, HTTPS/TLS encryption, JWT authentication, MariaDB with access controls. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong password and do not share your credentials.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember a free-report unlock for 30 days. Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel also set cookies when our pages load, to measure visits and our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; signing in needs the essential ones.
8. Children's Privacy
AstroCapitalX is not intended for persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will notify you by email or via the platform for material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
